Located along Fishing Bay and the Honga Rivers are Crapo, Wingate, Toddville, Bishops Head, and Crocheron, collectively known as "South Dorchester." Visitors to this area will appreciate the beautiful salt marshes and hunting opportunities that abound.

Church Creek is a small community along a Church Creek, named Old Trinity Church, circa 1690. Several homes in the community date as far back as the 18th century.

Hoopers Island is a scenic 40-minute drive from Cambridge. You may feel as though you’ve stepped back in time as you take in the small waterman's villages that dot the three islands with the Chesapeake Bay on your right and the Honga River on your left. Hooper’s is best known for seafood catching and processing, as well as sport fishing.

Taylor's Island offers an abundance of wildlife and unspoiled Chesapeake marshland. It provides some of the best opportunities for seeing many endangered or unique birds and animals, including Bald Eagles, the Delmarva Fox Squirrel, and sika deer. Within Taylor's Island, you'll find the small towns of Madison and Woolford. Once known as Tobacco Stick, Madison is a quiet community of waterfront homes, hunting camps, and farms. Woolford has become more of a year-round community with developments and traditional homes.
